Fourth General Assembly of the ALive Partnership - March 12, 2009 - Nairobi

Logistical information:

The ALive General Assembly will take place in Nairobi, Kenya on March 12, 2009.Please note that during the week March 9-13, three other meetings will be held back to back.

The fourth Steering Committee meeting of the Global Framework for Transboundary Animal Diseases (GF-TADs) will be held for one and half day March 9-10, 2009 at AU-IBAR Conference Room and immediately followed on March 10, 2009 in the afternoon by ALive EC13 on March 10-11. The ALive GA4 meeting will take place at Nairobi Safari Club (Lillian Towers) on March 12, 2009 and the fourth Steering Committee meeting of the Support Program to Integrated National Action Plans for Avian and Human Influenza (SPINAP-AHI) will take place at AU-IBAR conference room on March 13, 2009.

AU-IBAR will be responsible to make reservations for accommodation for those who have confirmed their participation and provided their date, time of arrival as well as their preferred hotels from the list of hotels already provided.

Participants who do not provide the required information will have to take care of their own reservations and ask (if available) for African Union rate.  For more details, please contact Dr. Germain Bobo at Germain.Bobo@au-ibar.org .

Please also note that:

Transportation (Air & Shuttle from to the Airport):Participants that have confirmed their participation, date, time of arrival and departure to AU-IBAR will have their travel arrangements taken care of by AU-IBAR. Shuttles will be available at the airport according to the confirmed date and time of arrival of participants. From Hotels to the meetings venue: Transportation will be provided by AU-IBAR.

Visa arrangements: Participants are responsible to obtain their visa. However, in the event of assistance required, AU-IBAR Protocol Office will facilitate visa issuance with Kenyan Immigration Offices in Nairobi. Please, contact AU-IBAR for participants who do not have a Kenyan embassy or consulate in their country of residence.
